Removing the mats

The action of the detergent combined with the rubbing of the sponge or brush will make it possible to soften and remove even the most encrusted dirt.

Washing the mats in the tub

If you do not have a hose for watering you can clean the mats using the bathtub or simply a suitable container in order to completely immerse the mat. Once the dust is removed from the mats, fill the tub or the water container by adding some laundry detergent or dish detergent, taking care not to overdo it as the foam that may form could be annoying when washing and above all you will go to waste unnecessary detergent. I do not recommend the use of other products such as degreasers or the like because they tend to ruin the surface of the mat. Dip the mats in the tub full of water and leave to soak for 10-15 minutes; in this way the dirt will be softened, facilitating cleaning. Then using a sponge or brush, rub them vigorously on both surfaces, taking care to completely remove the dirt present. If the water is too dirty I recommend changing it to get the best result.

Rinsing and drying

Once the washing phase is over, go to the rinsing phase, valid for both the methods indicated above. Rinse the mats using a jet of water (which is given by a watering hose or a tap, depending on the method used), making sure to remove all the foam and dirt still present on the surfaces. After the rinsing phase you can choose whether to let the mats dry in the open air or to proceed to a manual drying, or using a dry cloth to remove all the water present.

Installation in the car

Once dry, you can install the clean and shiny mats. Be sure to place the mats in the correct position, being careful not to reverse the passenger side and driver's side; be sure to attach the mats to the special clips on the bottom of the car (this will prevent the mat from slipping); make sure the driver's side mat does not interfere with the pedals before driving off. After this stage, you can enjoy your spending mat and be satisfied with your work.
